Confidential and
non-judgemental

My name is Siobhan and I am a qualified and BACP Registered Cognitive Behavioural Therapist from Scotland.

I hold a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Group Work, a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and a COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills. I am supervised, insured and a member of the PVG scheme. I attend regular individual and group supervision, as well as take part in CPD to ensure I keep my skills and knowledge up to date.

I have extensive experience working with clients with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, burn out, stress, neurodiversity and life changes such as moving away from home or divorce. I often work with students facing challenges with university or people struggling with burnout and stress at work. I also offer group therapy on areas such as managing anxiety, low mood, self-esteem and anger.

I spent over a decade travelling and working around the world. I have immersed myself in so many different cultures, tasted the best local cuisines, eyed spectacular diverse street art, and made a lifetime worth of memories and new friends. I know the joy and also struggle that can comes with moving your life to new countries. This helps me really connect with digital nomads, ex-pats, students living away from home or those who share that same love for travel that I do.

Outside of my fulfilling work, I am a massive book worm and I am always looking for book recommendations. I have a daily meditation and gratitude practice, and do yoga regularly.

My approach

In our sessions you can expect me to be warm, empathetic, encouraging, non-judgemental, and supportive. It is an incredible privilege to provide a confidential safe space for people to open up, be heard and valued.

Change is always possible. I want to help you discover the tools inside yourself to see things from a new perspective and  live a more empowered and fulfilled life.

I work with my clients to come up with goals of growth and change in therapy. I am then with you every step of the journey using a combination of tools and exploration to help you reach your goals.

By the end of our sessions my aim is to help you become your own therapist.

I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation. This is a chance for us to find out a bit more about each other and how we would go about working together. We can chat about what you can expect on your first session as well as how to help you get the most out of your budget and time.

What is CBT?

The way we think impacts the way we feel and act. These three areas are all connected.

A little change in one area can impact all the others.  I work within an evidence based Cognitive Behavioural framework,  tailoring my approach to each client and their individual needs.

I integrate tools from other modalities such as person centred counselling, solution focused and strength focused therapy. I have interest in mindfulness and often incorporate breath work and guided meditation into my sessions.
